How much do you charge for a website?

One billion dollars. =)

Just kidding, we like to have fun. But we have pre-set packages for websites that suit the needs of those with a very tight budget, all the way to those with very customized and specific needs. Our most popular packages are:

+ Starter Website: $499 for a 7 page basic website, with contact form, email and Facebook page+ Genesis Website: $999 allows you to select from a choice of over 40 beautiful themes that make your website pop and get you the attention your business needs to succeed.+ webManager: $1999 gives you a fully customized solution to allow your business to run efficiently, design from the ground up with a dedicated professional, and give you add-on capabilities such as a shopping cart, member forum and events calendar

+ If you’re really, really in a pinch and need a website, we also have a do-it-yourself package, in which we create the basic site for you, and you do the work to spruce it up. We offer video tutorials and free training sessions online to help you get up and running. We do this because we want your business to succeed, and then come back and hire us to do more stuff for you! Then you succeed more, and then you come bac...ok you get the idea. =)

 

What are your hourly prices?

We charge just $49 per hour for content management, SEO and Social Media Services if you sign up for our ACE Web Marketing package. On a single, one time hourly basis, we charge $69 per hour.

What’s really cool about both of these price points, is that we split an hour into 15 minute increments. So if you just need a PDF uploaded, no problem! that will likely only a fraction of the hour you buy, which means you have more time reserved for other projects. We track and maintain a timesheet that indicates how many hours remain on file for you.

 

How long would it take to build my website?

We’ve built websites in one day flat. We kid you not about that. We’ve also been involved in ongoing projects that take many many months to complete depending on the development specs.

As a good rule of thumb, the basic starter websites will take anywhere from a few days to a week. Genesis websites take anywhere from one week to one month, and webManager projects take upwards of a month to three months to get it perfect.

All projects depend heavily on client feedback, so if you’re planning on starting a project with us, we try to gather as much information up front for you, so that we can roll forward without interfering with your daily business activities. Please be prepared, however, to provide feedback on projects when necessary, so that we can keep your project full of the momentum it deserves.

 

Which is better, a custom or a pre-created design?

We are personally fans of the pre-created design. Why? Because the web world has changed over the past 5 years, and instead of devoting thousands of dollars to graphic design, you can get the same thing done for a smaller budget, and then drop in your own logo and pretty imagery.

In some cases, you’ll need a graphic designer to really make your business unique, through the logo design, the overall site structure or other elements. But if you are a startup or very small business, trust us on this one...get the site up and running, then add stuff over time. You’ll thank us for the money you save.

 

Can you write copy for my site?

Yes! We have content management specialists that can write up copy for your entire website. What’s nice is that we are also trained in SEO practices, so the copy we write will likely help your search engine rankings.

 

Can you get my company to the top of Google?

No company – we repeat – no company can ever guarantee you top rankings on Google. The reason is that Google changes its search engine algorithms on a frequent basis, which means companies have to continue to follow best practices in order to keep their sites well ranked.

However, we can say with fair certainty that you will have very good search engine rankings if you adhere to Google’s SEO best practices. The main three that we emphasize are:

+ Good site structure and clean navigation
+ High quality, and frequently added content to new pages on the website
+ Good quality, incoming links from other reputable  websites

 

Why does my website not even show up in Google? Can you help?

Beyond submitting the website to search engines like Google and Bing, there are a lot of things you can do to get your site removed from search engine rankings.Rockland Web Design can perform an SEO Audit on your site to determine why your site is not appearing, and in some cases perform programming services to adjust the site’s structure. Once completed, we re-submit the site and monitor whether it has achieved the necessary ranking.

 

How do I use Facebook (or LinkedIn, or Twitter)? I’m so confused by it all...

We built our business on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Further, we are very comfortable with showing others how to use the social media sites, and how to make your business thrive as a result!
