Patricia D'Amico - Graphic Designer
A Jersey Girl, with New York roots.... what
more is there to say. I
was born in Brooklyn in 1984, and moved to Jersey when I
was around
10. I've always had an interest in the arts. Throughout
middle school
and high school the art wing was my home. From painting
classes, and
graphic design courses and yes even to wood shop .. I knew
what
direction I wanted to go in. I attended Ramapo College of
New Jersey
where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication
Arts with
a concentration in Design and Interactive Media. Throughout
college I
was exposed to even more forms of design. I took courses
in
photojournalism and photography, website design and animation,
photo
manipulation and restoration, and, advertising and print
design. I am
most definitely a "Mac" person working off an
iMac G5 ... I love it.
Among the programs I use, Adobe Photoshop
is my favorite. There is so
much you can do with this program for both web and print
design. I
also use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Quark Express
depending on
what I am working on. I love being able to visually express
myself
through my own work. Being able to create things for others
and help
clients develop their thoughts into visual solutions, through
many
outlets of design, often makes for challengeing and exciting
experiences...ones I look forward to taking on for a long
time.
